About Us

MaxSim provides an enriched learning environment that has helped many Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery SHOs / DCTs develop their understanding and ability to manage OMFS clinical and post operative emergencies.

From humble beginnings of providing simulation training to Bath and Bristol DCTs, the course has been commissioned to providing three fully funded days by Health Education England for DCT's in the South West. We are now excited to open up to participants from elsewhere.

The full day course includes a course handbook sent out for reading so the day can be about putting knowledge into practice. We then hire the Clinical Simulation Space at Southmead Hospital to provide unrivalled OMFS simulation training.

Participant numbers are limited to enable the maximum practical experience possible with face-to-face training and a high faculty to participant ratio.

Lunch is provided and once the course is completed a GDC compliant CPD certificate is provided.
